How 9/11 changed the way we think and live

Nobody could believe their ears as they heard the news of what had happened on September 11th.  Many adults, in fact, had a hard time processing what exactly had happened, but it was even harder for the younger generation.  Younger people all of a sudden hear what's going on and with an uncertain view of the world and their safety, they don't know what to do.  The attack triggers many diverse feelings such as anger, sadness, confusion, and sympathy all at once.  People also, because of these feelings, may develop hate for others, and become racist because of the race of the terrorist.
After the terrorist attack, people were devasted to step foot on an airplane.  Airports were completely empty and many airlines soon became bankrupt.  People lost their sense of security as they would board airplanes and most people have never felt the same about traveling again.  This also ties in with the economy.
Also, after September 11th, people began to educate themselves with middle eastern geography and now, because the terrorists were from these areas, everybody knows where Iraq, Afghanestan, Iran, and Turkey lie.
